About Lisa Ketty
Lisa Ketty works with discarded machine board — the heavy, acid-free cardboard used in framing workshops, rescued before it is thrown away. She cuts it apart, builds it back up in layers, and paints it, until a material meant for the waste pile becomes the work itself.
Because the board is acid-free, the works are built to last for years without yellowing or breaking down. Each relief holds to a single colour and a strict geometry, and what moves within it is the light: the shadows thrown by each raised edge shift through the day, and the surface never quite sits still.
She has shown at Trapholt Kunstmuseum and Finders Keepers Art & Design Market, and sells original work through lisaketty.com.
